Watch Pink & Kelly Clarkson's Breathtaking AMAs Duet Performance (VIDEO)

Pink and Kelly Clarkson performed a duet of “Everybody Hurts” in honor of first responders and those affected by recent tragedies to start the 2017 American Music Awards on Sunday. Watch the video of their opening performance below!

It was originally announced earlier this month that both Pink and Clarkson would be performers at the 2017 AMAs, but it was a surprise to later learn that the artists would be taking the stage together for the very first time. On Thursday, Clarkson tweeted her excitement about joining forces with Pink at this year’s show. She wrote, “Gonna play it super cool whilst singing with @Pink this Sunday at the #AMAs… but know on the inside I will be freaking the &$@! out.” Pink responded, “You’re joking! I am humbly prepared to be outsung. I adore you and I cannot wait.”

Clarkson is a longtime supporter of Pink, and before tonight’s performance, expressed her desire to collaborate with the star. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Clarkson said, “I’m a huge fan of Pink. I haven’t had the chance yet to work with her. I think if you project it enough, it might happen, right?” She went on to gush over Pink’s latest album, Beautiful Trauma, saying, “I love her because she has done the whole singer-songwriter record she recently did, she does pop, she loves rock. She is who she is, and that’s cool if you like her, and it’s cool if you don’t. I relate to that.”

Pink is a five-time American Music Award nominee, while Clarkson is a three-time AMAs winner. In 2001, Pink was nominated for Favorite Soul/R&B artist, and in 2003, she scored nominations for Favorite Pop/Rock Album and Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist. A decade later, she was nominated for Favorite Pop/Rock Female artist for the second time, as well as for Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist. As for Clarkson, she took home the award for Favorite Adult Contemporary Artist two years in a row, before winning the Favorite Pop/Rock Female Artist category in 2006. Watch below!
