As our friend Jeremy Veldman would say, "GRAB YOUR BINOCULARS!"
TONIGHT you've got to take a walk outside (if not for just some fresh air) and look up at the moon!
Tonight, July 27th, check out the longest lunar eclipse of the 21st century.! Tonight’s full moon lunar eclipse will last a whole 1 hour, 42 minutes, and 57 seconds, but because of the partial eclipse preceding and following the total eclipse, the moon will actually spend 3 hours and 55 minutes in the Earth’s umbral shadow.
If you must stay in, here's a YouTube LIVE stream of the awesome event!
And while we're on the subject of astral bodies, Check out this season of Geek Tank! Where we chat with Jeremy about what's happening with Memphis Astro Society and Alan's got some Mars discoveries that has us grabbing the bathing suits!
