The 13th Annual Chili Cook-off and 20th Annual Polar Bear Plunge!

The 13th Annual Chili Cook-Off...The divisions for the cook-off are red chili, salsa & people’s choice. Additional prizes will be awarded for showmanship.The Chili Cook-Off starts at 10:00 am! Chili Teams are $75 per team and each team must turn in their entry form by January 19th!
Cooking chili is not your thing then, you be the Judge! This event features a People’s Choice contest where anyone can pay $5 and get to taste-test the chili of all participating chili teams! You’ll never believe how many different ways there are to cook chili!
The 20th Annual Polar Bear Plunge….Join hundreds of brave souls (including some local celebrities!) at Mud Island River Park to take a dip into the frigid Wolf River, as they brave the elements to benefit Special Olympics of Greater Memphis.The plunge is at 2:30 p.m. and everyone MUST wear shoes, fill out the waiver/release, and pay the $50 per person/team member entry fee. With just $50 in pledges, Plungers automatically get the official Polar Bear Plunge t-shirt and bragging rights over all the people who couldn't bear it. Plus, the more money Plungers raise, the more cool stuff they can get!
Come early to take care of business and vote in the People’s Choice portion of the Chili Cook-Off!
Plungers come dressed in your wackiest costume for a chance to win the Golden Plunger!
