Who took home a Webby? (And what IS a Webby) plus Nicolas Cage's very interesting situation and Beyonce has a challenge for us.
The Webby Awards went down and before you ask, the Webby's are to honor the best of the internet. From games to podcasts to videos to influencers, basically the internet as a whole. Disney took home the most awards this year with 32. National Geographic won 17 awards for categories including best photography, best data visualization, and best user experience. Google followed with 14 awards, including best user interface, productivity, and technical achievement.Vice, Condé Nast, and HBO all received nearly a dozen awards apiece. Nicolas Cage finds himself in a bit of a situation. After only 4 days he and his wife Erika Koike filed for an annulment. He says they were wasted when they walked the isle in Vegas, and acted on impulse.
Erika doesn't see it that way ... she says the marriage was legit, she claims Nic asked her to come back to him, and she's seeking spousal support.
Beyonce has set the newest challenge in motion. It's the #BeforeILetGoChallenge, which btw was her first IG story since Homecoming dropped on Netflix. It's a direct response to her cover of Frankie Beverly & Maze's 1981 classic "Before I Let Go". She has a full dance break down and is interested on how YOU interpret her dance. Sounds intriguing. Very... #KikiChallenge but I'll bite!
