Eddie Van Halen's memory remains very much alive on what would have been his 67th birthday.

Alex Van Halen reached out to Van Halen News Desk Wednesday to share a brief tribute to his late younger brother, plus a few words about his Grammy-nominated nephew's rising star that surely would have put a smile on Edward's face.

"Hey Ed, Happy Birthday," Alex wrote. "May your light never dim. Love you, miss and btw ... Wolf is killin' it."

Eddie's son, Wolfgang, then shared an old photo of himself and his dad posing for a photo together while sitting on a stoop.

"Happy Birthday, Pop," Wolfie wrote. "I love and miss you more than you could ever know."

Wolfie's mom Valerie Bertinelli (Eddie's wife of more than 25 years) added a photo of Ed sweating it out in a sauna. She left only a white heart in the caption.

Ex-Van Halen frontman Sammy Hagar and bassist Michael Anthony also weighed in via their 'Van Hagar' account.

"Happy birthday my dead friend, I sure do miss you," Hagar wrote. "Thank God we still and always will have the music to celebrate.

Anthony added: "Happy birthday Ed, I miss ya brother! You were such a huge part of my life, I will always celebrate and wave the VH flag high!"
